Fishermen who target this species should use fly rods or light tackle. Channel catfish are also a favorite of both casual and serious fishermen. These fish can be caught in the deep channels of Bull Shoals Lake during the entire year. Fishermen should use bottom rigs with stink bait line with a heavy test. Numerous other large game and small fish can be found throughout Bull Shoals Lake.
